Obituaries for the children:

Frank Adam Pitre:  The Daily Iberian (New Iberia, LA), Thursday, 31 October 1929:  Adam Pete, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Zephraim Pete, was born in Terrebonne parish in 1861.  His parents were sturdy rural folk who endured all the vicissitudes of the war and of reconstruction days.  Adam attended the schools of Terrebonne parish and grew to strong manhood.  He and Miss Louise Dorsey were joined in holy wedlock and to this union fifteen children were born, twelve of whom are living.  These are Valery, Ernest, Adel, Oscar, Zephraim, Mrs. Alice Decuir, Mrs. Olga A. Douglass, Aline, Albert, Antoinette, Louise and Eva.  Thirty-eight years ago, the family moved to New Iberia, their home since.  Mr. Pete bore the reputation of a worthy citizen.  He and his faithful wife made the sacrifices to provide their children with a home and an education.  They are the greatest heritage.  Last Friday night, death called the husband and father to his eternal reward.  Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in St. Peter's Catholic church.  A large congregation were present at the obsequies.  Interment in the Catholic cemetery.
