Obituary:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), 28 February 2005:  Wilson "Pete" Michell Pitre, 89, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 26, 2005.  Visitation will be at 5 to 9 p.m. today at Thibodaux Funeral Home and 8 to 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Co-cathedral in Thibodaux.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.  He is survived by his wife, Eola Tabor Pitre; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Linda Pitre of Lockport and Tommy Pitre of Thibodaux; brother and sister-in-law, Norman “Poney” and Corine Pitre of Raceland; grandchildren and their spouses, Tommy Jr. and Angie T. Pitre, Brandon and Tanya G. Pitre, Niki and Wally Naquin and Shaddy Pitre; great-grandchildren, Dustin Pitre, Brett and Beau Naquin and Jack and Eli Pitre.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Sr. and Amelia Aupied Pitre; grandson, Kevin Pitre; brother, Lawrence Pitre Jr.; and sisters, Florence Waguespack and Solange Orgeron.  He was a member of the American Legion Post 11 and 40/8, a member of the Woodmen of the World, retired from Freeport McMoran and was a Lafourche Parish food stamp deputy for eight years.  Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Obituary:  With heavy hearts, at the age of 89, we announce the death of Eola Pitre (Thibodaux, Louisiana), who passed away on December 4, 2019.  She was predeceased by her husband Wilson Pitre; her parents, Alidore Tabor and Lucille Toups Tabor; her grandson Kevin Pitre; and her siblings, Walter, Johnny, Norman, Harry, Morris, Norris, Rita Tabor and Dorothy Trosclair.  She is survived by her sons, Tommy Pitre and Michael Pitre (Linda); her grandchildren, Brandon Pitre (Colleen Naquin), Nickey Naquin (Wally), Tommy Pitre, Jr. and Shady Delatte (Dillin); her great-grandchildren, Jack Wilson, Eli Pierre Pitre, Dustin Delatte, Araya, Ava Naquin, Brett, Beau Naquin, Justin Pitre, Myles Smith and Wyatt Delatte; and her brother Sam Tabor.
