- 27 July 1955, Lowell Sun:  Next Monday, August 1, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Peters of Tyngs road will celebrate their 56th wedding anniversary.  The Peters have six children, 14 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.  A quiet family party will be held at their home.

- 29 July 1955, Lowell Sun:  Paul Peters of Tyngs road was pleasantly surprised recently with a visit from his brother, Henry Peters of Glens Falls, N.Y.  The two brothers had not seen each other in over 41 years.

- 3 August 1955, Lowell Sun:  Mr. and Mrs. Paul Peters, of Tyng road, celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary Monday with a gala dinner party and open house during which they were feted and the recipients of many splendid gifts.  Married in Campbelltown, N.M. in 1899, the Peters came to Lowell in 1900 and moved to Tyngsboro in 1908.  Six of their 11 children are still living, included are: Mrs. John Lequesne, of Uxbridge, Mrs. John Blasangame, Washington, D.C., Mrs. Louise Foote, of Lowell, Arthur Peters, of Downsville, N.Y., Ernest Peters of Blackstone, Mass., and Harold Peters, of this town.  They have 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  The devoted couple started their anniversary day by attending a special mass at the Marist Brothers seminary, and the seminarians presented them with a huge bouquet of beautiful flowers in honor of the occasion.  Later the family gathered at the home of Harold Peters for dinner.  Mr. Peters, now retired, was formerly a fireman at the Lowell Gas Co.

Obituary:  The Lowell Sun (Lowell, MA), Tuesday, 30 April 1974:  Mrs. Peters...St. John's, No. Chemsford.  Tyngsboro - Mrs. Alberta M. (Thibeault) Peters, a resident of Tyngsboro for over three quarters of a century, died yesterday at a local nursing home.  Born in Campbellton, New Brunswick, Canada, a daughter of the late Germain and the late Caroline (Russell) Thibeault, she came to this area when a young woman with her husband the late Paul M. Peters, who died in 1959.  Mrs. Peters resided at Tyngs Road and was an attendant of St. John's the Evangelist church North Chelmsford, and had been a former member of the parish Blessed Virgin Sodality.  She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Johns (Irene) Blasangame, of Arlington, Va.; Mrs. Louise Foote of Lowell and Mrs. Carol LeQuesne of Attleboro; three sons, Ernest Peters of Blackstone, Arthur J. Peters of Winsted, Conn.; and Harold Peters of Tyngsboro; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Caroline 'Carrie' M. Peters:  Worcester Telegram & Gazette (MA), Friday, 1 October 1993:  Northbridge - Caroline M. (Peters) LeQuesne, 89, formerly of 12 Lake Terrace, Whitinsville, died yesterday in Wayside Nursing and Rehabilitation Home, Worcester.  Her husband, John B. LeQuesne, died in 1957.  She leaves a son, Arthur J. LeQuesne of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; two sisters, Louise Foote of Lowell and Irene Blasagame of Arlington, Va.; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.  A daughter, Irene Durfee of St. Petersburg, Fla., died in 1991.  She was born in Tupper Lake, N.Y., daughter of Paul and Alberta (Thibault) Peters, and lived in Whitinsville most of her life before moving to Worcester several years ago.  She worked many years at Balfour Co. in North Attleboro, and many years at the former Waucantuck Mill in Uxbridge.  Mrs. LeQuesne was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Whitinsville.  A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Patrick's Church, Cross Street, Whitinsville.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.  There are no calling hours.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assocation, Framingham.  Jackman Funeral Home, Whitinsville, is directing arrangements.

 

Mary Louise Catherine Peters:  The Sun (Lowell, MA), Saturday, 13 October 2007 Louise C. Foote of Lowell, active in the senior community; 99.  Lowell - Louise C. (Peters) Foote, 99, a resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, died October 10, 2007, at a local nursing home.  Born in Tyngsboro on Aug. 16, 1908, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Alberta (Thibeault) Peters.  Prior to her retirement, Louise was employed at Honeywell of Lowell, as a solderer.  Ms. Foote was a member of the Centralville Senior Citizen Club, and the Lowell Senior Citizen Club where she was awarded Senior Citizen of the Month in 2004.  Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald C. and Donna Foote of Washburn, Maine, Allan P. and Mary T. Foote of Nashua, N.H.; a sister, Irene Blasangame of Arlington, Va.; 13 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.  She was also the mother of the late Dorothy L. Sullivan of Lowell, and Robert A. Foote of Oregon.

Joseph Alphonse Harold Peters:  The Sun (Lowell, MA), Tuesday, 26 July 1988:  Harold J. Peters, retired stonecutter, Tyngsboro - Harold J. Peters, 73, of 43 Tyng Road, died Tuesday at Lowell General Hospital after a long illness.  He was married to Margaret (Clark) Peters, with whom he celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary on April 13.  A native and lifelong resident of Tyngsboro, he was born there Oct. 10, 1914, son of the late Paul and Alberta (Thibeault) Peters.  He was educated in Tyngsboro schools.  During World War II, he served as a sergeant with the U.S. Army.  Mr. Peters had worked for more than 40 years as a stonecutter at the Guilmet and LeMausier quarries until his retirement in 1978.  From 1978 until recently, he was employed with DeMoulas in Nashua, N.H.  In his early years, he had worked for the town of Tyngsboro, plowing snow in the winter months.  He was a member of the American Legion Post #247 of Tyngsboro and the Tyngsboro Senior Citizens Club.  He was the grandfather of the late James Long.  Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. James (Cynthia) Long of Dracut and Mrs. Robert (Donna) Savary of Pepperell; two brothers, Arthur Peters of Winsted, Conn. and Ernest Peters of Blackstone, three sisters, Carol LeQuesne of Whitinsville, Louise Foote of Lowell and Irene Blasangame of Arlington; and four granddaughters, Jennifer, Allison and Stephanie Long, and Erica Savary.

 

Edgar Joseph Alphonse PetersThe Evening Gazette (Worcester, MA), Monday, April 19, 1943:  Linwood, April 19 - The funeral of Edgar J. A. Peters who died late Saturday night in Memorial Hospital, Worcester, from injuries to a hand received at his work in the Whitin Machine Works last week, will be tomorrow morning at the home on Church street with a requiem high mass at the Church of the Good Shepherd at 9 o'clock. Burial will be in St Patrick's Cemetery in charge of Arthur D. Tancrell. He was 25 years of age, born in Tyngsboro, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Peters and resided in Connecticut before coming here several months ago. Surviving are his parents, a wife and two sons, Edgar, age 2, and Daniel, 7 months; three brothers, Ernest of Blackstone, Arthur of Linwood and Corp. Harold Peters stationed in New Jersey, and three sisters, Mrs. John LeQuesne of Linwood, Mrs. Louise Foote of Lowell, and Mrs. Irene Perry of Lowell.

Irene Louise Peters:  Mrs. Irene Blasangame, age 85, at Fairhaven Healthcare Center in Lowell, MA.  She served in the US Navy for 4 years during WWII, then was employed by the US Navy at the Pentagon in Arlington County, VA for 35 years from where she retired.  While residing in Arlington, VA, she volunteered at St. George's Episcopal Thrift Store and socialized with close friends.  Graveside burial service will be held September 10 at 9 am at Arlington National Cemetery.
