Obituary:  The Toronto Star (Toronto, ONT), Saturday, 8 March 1969:  Peters, Alban - Suddenly, on Friday, March 7, 1969, Alban Peters, beloved husband of Georgina Arsenault, formerly of P.E.I., dear father of Eleanor, Betty, Marilyn and Edna, loving grandfather of 5 grandchildren.  Resting at Brown Bros. Chapel.  Leaving chapel 8:30 a.m. Monday for Requiem Mass at 9:00 in St. Thomas Aquinas Church.  Interment Mount Hope Cemetery.

Loving mother of Betty (Mrs. Tom Quinn) of North Bay, Eleanor (Mrs. John Jesson) and Mrs. Edna Norquay, both of Toronto and the late Mrs. Marilyn Lessif.  Dear grandmother of Donna, Ricky, Terri, Tom, Ted, Tammy, Jason, Jeffrey and Tracey.  Resting at the Turner and Porter Peel Chapel, Mississauga from 2 p.m. Saturday.  Funeral mass Monday at 11:00 o'clock at St. Monica's Church, Toronto.  Interment Mount Hope Cemetery.  For those who wish memorial contributions to the Ontario Heart Foundation would be appreciated.

Eleanor Peters:  13 September 2022:  Jesson, Mary “Eleanor” (April 7, 1935 - September 11, 2022):  It is with sadness, that Jack and the Jesson family announce the sudden passing of their much-loved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, and a friend to many in the Baldwin Place Community, Tillsonburg, Mary “Eleanor” Jesson at the age of 87 years.  Born in North Rustico, Prince Edward Island.  Eleanor and Jack have been residents of Baldwin Place for over 20 years (since its inception, they were amongst the first who started living there).  She was a dedicated member of St. Mary’s R. C. Church and the St. Mary’s Catholic Women’s League (for over 40 years).  In her younger years, Eleanor’s hobbies included cross-country skiing, paddle boating and the cottage life.  Eleanor was the much-loved wife of John “Jack” Jesson for 55 years and she had great love for all her family.  Loved mother of Donna (Alan Yateman), of Oakville; and their daughter Dawn (Jon); Richard (Sandra) Jesson, of Mississauga and their children: Jennifer (John) (and their daughter Kaia), and two sons John and Matthew.  Also survived by a sister Edna Norquay, of Dundas and by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and relatives in Prince Edward Island and by many close friends in Baldwin.  Predeceased by two sisters Betty (and late Tom Quinn) and Marilyn Lessif.  Cremation has taken place.  All of Eleanor’s family, friends, and neighbours are invited to attend a public visitation on Friday, September 16th, 2022, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Home Chapel, Tillsonburg.  St. Mary’s CWL Rosary will be held on Friday at 4:00 p.m.  Public Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, September 17th, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Mary’s R. C. Church, Tillsonburg, by Rev. Father Seejo John.  Interment follows in the Tillsonburg Cemetery.  Everyone in attendance is welcomed to join for a time of conversation and fellowship at Baldwin Place Community Centre, Tillsonburg immediately following inurnment.  All who knew Eleanor are welcomed to share special memories, favourite photos, send flowers or contribute memorial donations to “Diabetes Canada” or to “Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario”.  Maurice J. Elizabeth Louise Peters:  North Bay Nugget (North Bay, ONT), Wednesday, 29 November 1995:  Quinn, Betty - On November 25, 1995, at home, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, Betty Quinn (Nee Peters).  Loving wife and best friend of Tom.  Mother of Terri and Brian, Tom and Christine, Ted and Alba, and Tammy.  Grandmother of Eden and Maya; sister of Eleanor Jesson and Edna Norquay.  Friends called at the 'Eglinton Chapel' of the McDougall and Brown Funeral Home, Toronto, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Thomas Aquinas Church on Tuesday, November 27th.  Cremation was to follow.  In lieu of flowers made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.  "There is a hole in our hearts, for she left us too soon."

Lessif, Cedar Mills, Bolton R.R. 1, loving mother of Jason and Jeffrey.  Dear daughter of Georgina and the late Alban Peters, Toronto.  Dear sister of Eleanor (Mrs. John Jesson) Mississauga, Betty (Mrs. Tom Quinn) North Bay and Edna (Mrs. Peter Norquay) Toronto.  At the Egan Funeral Home, Bolton from Monday evening until 9:30 o'clock Wednesday morning April 12th, then to St. Patrick's Church, Wildfield for requiem mass at 10 o'clock.  Parish prayers Tuesday evening at 8 o'clock.
