Obituary: Quincy Patriot Ledger (Quincy, MA), Tuesday, 3 April 1951: Rockland, April 3 - Zebulon Peters, husband of the late Mrs. Katherine (Downey) Peters of Middle street, Rockland, died at a Brockton rest home late yesterday after an illness of several months. Mr. Peters was born in Prince Edward Island, but lived in Rockland for many years. The funeral will be held Thursday morning at 8:15 o'clock from the Sullivan Funeral Home, Rockland, with a solemn high mass of requiem at the Church of the Holy Family. Burial will be in Holy Family cemetery, Rockland. He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. J. Ralph McGrath, 42 Carroll street, Brockton; a sister, Miss Josephine Peters of Nova Scotia and three grandchildren, Patricia, Kathleen and John McGrath.

Obituary: Quincy Patriot Ledger (Quincy, MA), Monday, 27 October 1947: Rockland, Oct. 27 - Mrs. Katherine R, (Downey) Peters, of 71 Myrtle street, Rockland, died Saturday night at her home after a brief illness. The funeral service will be held Wednesday morning at 8:15 o'clock from the Sullivan funeral home, followed by a high mass of requiem at 9 o'clock at the Church of the Holy Family. Burial will be in the Holy Family cemetery. Mrs. Peters was born in Somerville, the daughter of the late John and Jane (McManus) Downey. She had lived in Rockland for 45 years. She was a member of the Rockland Legion auxiliary, the Ancient Order of Hibernians auxiliary and the Ladies' Sodality of the Holy Family church. She leaves her husband, Zebulom Peters, a daughter, Mrs. Ralph McGrath of Brockton, a sister, Miss Jane M. Downey and two brothers, Eugene S. and Leo E. Downey of Rockland, and three grandchildren.
