Obituary:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), 5 November 1961 - At St. Joseph hospital, Thibodaux, La., on Saturday, November 4, 1961, at 5:20 o'clock a.m., Clay Joseph Pitre Sr., beloved husband of Juanita Roundtree; father of Clay Jr., Merton and Kenneth Petre; age 57 years; a native of and a resident of Thibodaux, La., R.F.D.  Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. Services from Landry's Funeral Home, Thibodaux, La., on Sunday, November 5, 1961, at 3 o'clock p.m.  Religious services at St. Joseph Catholic church, Thibodaux, La.  Interment in St. Joseph Catholic cemetery.  Falgout Funeral Homes, Inc., Raceland, La., in charge.

Obituary:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), December 2000:  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in the St. Charles community for Juanita Pitre Boudreaux, 74, a native and resident of Thibodaux, who died at 11:50 a.m. Dec. 24, 2000.  Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until funeral time at Landry's Funeral Home in Thibodaux.  Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.  She was the mother of Merton and Kenneth Pitre; and sister of Birchman Roundtree and Melba Tabor.  She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clay Joseph Pitre; second husband, Junius Boudreaux; parents, Philip and Yula Deshotels Roundtree; and son, Clay Joseph Pitre Jr.  Landry's Funeral Home of Thibodaux is in charge of the arrangements.

Clay Joseph Pitre:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), Monday, 30 August 1999:  A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. today at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Thibodaux for Clay "C.J." Joseph Pitre Jr., 55, a native and resident of Thibodaux, who died at 1:15 p.m. Aug. 28, 1999.  Burial was at the church cemetery.  He was the husband of Lisa Sanders Pitre; son of Juanita Roundtree Pitre; and father of Kerry, Kevin, Kristi, Marti, Erica, Kayla and Lindsey Pitre, Jennifer Pitre Glynn and Patti Pitre King.  He is also survived by eight grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his father, Clay Joseph Pitre Sr.  Thibodaux Funeral Home of Thibodaux was in charge of arrangements.

Kenneth Pitre:  Houma Today (LA), 2 October 2023:  Kenneth "Pete" Pitre, 73, a native and resident of Thibodaux, LA, passed away on October 1, 2023, surrounded by his family.  A visitation will be held in his honor on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Thibodaux Funeral Home, Thibodaux, LA, from 9:00 am until the Religious Service at 11:00 am.  The burial will follow in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery, Thibodaux, LA.  He is survived by his wife, Pat Pitre; sons Danny (Angel) Pitre and Darin (Mechell) Pitre; grandchildren Lane (Kristen) Pitre, Alexis (Cody) Dufrene, Beau Pitre, Hunter (Kailey) Pitre; great-grandchild Griffey William Dufrene; brother Merton (Evelyn) Pitre; sister-in-law Mary (Ted) Carmadelle.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Clay J. Pitre, Sr. and Juanita Boudreaux; brother Clay "CJ" Pitre, Jr.  Pete had a love for hunting, especially because the grandkids shared that love with him.  They spent countless hours together enjoying the many hunts together.  His greatest love was his family and spending time with Pat his wife and the kids, grandkids and the light of his life the last two years, Griffey.  The family would like to thank Terrebonne Home Health, Journey Hospice, Alicia & Annalee for taking such good care of him along with his wife Pat.  The family would also like to thank the many families and friends who sent prayers and love during this difficult time.
